Otay 14 Flow Control Facility Expansion Project. The work for this project consists of the following: The project will expand the capacity of the existing Otay 14 Flow Control Facility (FCF) from 8 million gallons per day to 16 million gallons per day. This expansion will required upsizing about 75 feet of piping from 16 inches to 20 inches. The existing FCF will be subject to civil, mechanical, electrical, and minor structural modifications. The inlet pipe to the FCF will connect the Helix-Water-District 48-unch flume to the FCF structure. Modifications to the inlet pipe include adding a 20-inch butterfly isolation valve, a valve coupling, ad an insulating flange. The outlet pipe from the FCF extends from the FCF structure to the site property line. Modifications to the outlet pipe include adding a 20-inch blind flange and a 16-inch dishhead. The FCF structure is comprised of a partially below grade vault. Modifications to the FCF vault include upsizing the pipe penetration, pipe train, isolation valves, flow-control valve, flowmeter, air valves, and other pipe appurtenances.

As Needed Construction & Project Management Services for Broadway Pier Cruise Ship Terminal Project. It is intended that the pier will be used as the District’s auxiliary cruise facility and as a public area when not in maritime use. A new cruise ship terminal will be developed to not only be functional, but aesthetically pleasing as well. It is planned that the terminal facility will serve as a second cruise berth during the future redevelopment of the B Street Pier and in the long term as an auxiliary cruise facility. Best efforts will be made to maximize public access after project completion. The project encompasses removal and proper disposal of the current embarkation platform, seismic retrofit of the pier, and the construction of a LEED certified 52,070 square foot two-way cruise terminal facility.

Upgrade Bulkhead East of Berth 10-8 Tenth Ave. Marine Terminal. Work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipments necessary to install a new steel sheet piled bulkhead, east of Berth 10-8 at Tenth Ave. Marine Terminal. The work comprises the demolition, removal and disposal of the existing bulkhead materials, installation of approx. 60 lineal feet of steel sheet piling, installation of approx. 53 lineal feet of steel sheet piled anchor wall and tie rods, construction of a reinforced concrete pile cap, installation and connection of cathodic protection system, electrical work, and other incidental items of work as shown on the drawings and as specified in the specifications. The project is located at Tenth Ave. Marine Terminal, San Diego, CA.
