The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work as follows.

The work consists, in general, of constructing an approximately 0.8-mile Class I bicycle facility segment of the San Diego River Trail (SDRT) through SDCCU Stadium (formerly Qualcomm Stadium) in the Mission Valley community of San Diego, CA. This segment would extend eastward from the terminus of Fenton Parkway along a vegetated slope behind the Fenton Marketplace shopping center and through the southern portion of the SDCCU Stadium parking lot to connect with Rancho Mission Road. The project is in a developed area with residential and commercial uses to the west, north, and east. The San Diego River is located adjacent to the proposed trail on the south, with commercial office development on the south side of the river. Most of the trail would occur on existing paved surfaces within the stadium parking lot, which is topographically flat. The western end of the proposed trail would occur on a slope behind the shopping center that contains some dense vegetation.

Work will include, but not be limited to, controlling for water pollution; traffic control; clearing and grubbing; removing an existing concrete barrier and existing fencing and guard railing; curb, gutter, and sidewalk work; roadway excavation; imported borrow; asphalt work; landscaping and irrigation; wayfinding signage; chain-link fencing; metal beam guard railing; crash cushions; pavement markings; trail lighting; cast-in-place concrete, masonry block, and modular block walls; trenching and backfill for underground electric conduits and underground concrete vault; and procurement of all materials and performing all other work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
