P2-122, HEADWORKS MODIFICATIONS AT PLANT 2 FOR GWRS FINAL EXPANSION
Project includes several elements necessary to separate the existing Headworks facility into two separate treatment systems in support of the Groundwater Replenishment System Final Expansion. This Work includes the construction of a new 72-inch diameter pipeline, a new 24-inch diameter pipeline, a new 14-inch diameter pipeline, new slide gates with electrical actuators and supporting systems, replacement of three (3) main sewage pumps and extended shafts and modifications to the existing influent pump station wet well, and two (2) new sump pumps. This Work also includes a new influent sampling system with canopy and various pipeline rerouting and tunnel pipeline demolition. The Work described will need to be coordinated with the existing operation of a large wastewater treatment facility.
