Caltrans: Overall Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal & Methodology Public Meeting

WHAT IS CALTRANS’ OVERALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) GOAL & METHODOLOGY?
• Caltrans is required to calculate an overall DBE participation goal every three years, according to Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 26.
• Caltrans’ overall DBE participation goal reflects the percentage of contract dollars that DBE firms would be expected to earn absent the effects of discrimination.
• Caltrans’ overall DBE participation goal is based on evidence from its 2016 Disparity Study.

WHY ATTEND?
• Tell us what you think of our proposed overall DBE goal. Provide comments, verbally or in writing, and include your experience working or bidding on public highway transportation construction and professional services contracts.
• Share information concerning the availability of DBE and non-DBE firms.
• Help us identify ways to better support small, minority-, and woman-owned businesses.
